I completely agree with you (and him) on how important this is. I am a teacher in a high poverty school and it is beyond sad to look at the food these families are eating. They really are getting screwed over with a lack of resources and access to affordable nutrition. The good thing is that we actually have a grant where the students get fresh fruits and vegetables for snack every day. It is amazing because they really enjoy it, they just don’t have access to it at home.
